Manufacturing facility are often kept fully illuminated for 24 hours a day. In most applications 15%-20% can be saved "off the top".

Though there is a lumen drop, the perceptible light level remains constant.

Additional savings can be garnered based on activity levels. If the occupancy times are predictable, the light level can be further reduced by a timer.

Where usage is sporadic, the light level can be further reduced with motion detectors.

If outside light is available during the day, a daylight harvesting sensor can be deployed to drive LightBoss® allowing for lower setting during the daytime. With the added controls (including energy management system control), total saving could average 25%-30% per year.
