LightBoss® will allow for Significant Energy
savings of up to 40%, without replacing Lamps, Ballast and most importantly, without interupting your business

Although lighting is a key factor in retail store design, many
retail outlets have much more light than needed. Lighting engineers
typically over-engineer the lighting needed to account for lamp
lumens depreciation over time. LightBoss® can be used
to reduce the initial light output to an acceptable level (80%-85%
of brightness), then gradually increase the lamp levels in 5% increments
as they begin to depreciate, thus keeping the lighting level constant.
Retailers, in many cases, are responsible for parking lot lighting
as well. Again LightBoss® could reduce lighting by 15%-20%
until customers are gone, then further reduce levels to 60% when
only security lighting is required. Click here to find out more about using LightBoss® to control parking lot lighting. |

| Many retailers also maintain significant warehouse facilities. In
most applications 15%-20% can be saved "off the top". Because
the lamps are so bright at the top end, the change is typically not
noticed without a light meter in hand. Though there is a lumen drop,
the perceptible light level remains constant. Additional savings can
be garnered based on activity levels. If the occupancy times are predictable,
the light level can be further reduced by time clock. If the usage
is sporadic, the light level can be further reduced with motion detectors.
If outside light is available during the day, a daylight harvesting
sensor can be deployed to drive LightBoss®, allowing for
lower lamp settings during the daytime. With added controls (including
energy management system control), total saving could average 25%-30%
per year or more. |
